New Mostakbal Irrigation Water Transfer Project (Eastern Source – Mostakbal Misr 2)
				








Project Overview:
This national project aims to deliver 10 million m3 per day of irrigation water (5 million m3 per day for 400,000 feddans and 5 million m3 per day for 300,000 feddans) from the Mostakbal Misr Project (1) to the west of the ring road and the west of Sheikh Zayed City, irrigating 229,028 feddans. This initiative supports the state’s plan to develop new urban communities and agricultural areas, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for integrated and sustainable development. It implements presidential directives to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation to optimize the use of water resources in the western Delta region. This project contributes to the broader goal of reclaiming and cultivating 1 million acres north and south of the Dabaa axis and in the Mostakbal Misr (New Delta) area.
								






































Key Components:
The project consists of the following:
  • 4 Pipelines with a total length of 2,320,636 meters (main pipelines: 477,782 m, sub pipelines: 1,842,854 m).
  • Open channel with a length of 25,000 m.
  • Estimated electrical capacity of 17.9 Megawatts.
  • 2 Main pumping stations.
  • 2 Regulators.

ECPC’s Scope of Work:
ECPC is a key supplier of prestressed concrete pipes (PCCP) for this large-scale project, collaborating with the following contractors:
  • Egyptian Air Forces – EAF: Supplying 12,000 meters of PCCP in various diameters (800mm, 1,000mm, 1,200mm, 1,400mm, and 1,600mm).
  • Concord For Engineering & Contracting: Supplying 8,000 meters of PCCP in various diameters (1,200mm, 1,400mm, 1,600mm, 1,800mm, and 2,200mm).
ECPC will provide a total of 20,000 meters of small, medium, and large-diameter PCCP pipes (from 800mm to 2,200mm) with different pressure ratings (12, 20, 24, and 32 bars) and special fittings. ECPC has completed approximately 53% of its scope of work.
